Historic Engagements

Department for Constitutional Affairs

via BTA Consulting

Responsible for the replacement of the Bank of England as the banker to the the Court Funds Office (“CFO”) by the Royal Bank of Scotland and direct relationship with CREST. The Bank had a 300 year relationship with the CFO and this was replaced by RBS and CREST with no operational disruption.

 

 

The CFO were the first government department to have such a relationship with CREST. Responsibilities included requirements capture and documentation, negotiation with the Bank and CREST on time-scales and technical details, project management of implementation, including execution of a government procurement process.

Società Interbancaria per l'Automazione
(“SIA”), Milan

Lead consultant for the implementation by SIA of STEP2, the €-denominated, cross-border, retail and commercial payments service of the European Banking Association (“EBA”), successfully deployed in time for the introduction of legislation by the European Central Bank limiting the cost of cross- border € payments within the Euro-zone.

 
 

 

Responsible for requirements capture, design, and documentation of the solution as the main interface between SIA and its customer, the EBA, including negotiation of the solution as part of the Euro-zone wide EBA working group.

The Bahamas International Securities Exchange (“BISX”), Nassau

In-source CIO as part of the team responsible for the implementation of the first securities exchange in The Bahamas. Responsible for all aspects of the exchange's technology infrastructure including implementation, configuration, testing, and operation of the Horizon

 
 

 

trading system and supporting electronic trading network. Designed and documented the exchange's trading rules, including negotiation and agreement of same with The Bahama's regulator in conjunction with the exchange's regulatory staff.

The Land Registry

 

Advised the land registry on commercial, tariff, delivery-vs-payment ("DVP"), and technology issues for the XXXX project. The XXXX project investigated the feasibility of The Land Registry reducing the risk involved in property sales by providing DVP services in the sales chain.
